Update With 'Lil Hal'

Sarah and Derek were able to come visit Halle one evening, that was really a treat to have them come!

Halle had to have light treatment for a few days, but we don't think she minded...she just stretched out and seemed to have a good time! ;)

Every one is doing well for the moment, we've been busy, sorry we haven't updated for a while! Halle is growing and improving all the time. Melissa is recovering quite well, and is so happy so be a mother! Kim is just working and loves spending every minute he can with his girls! We hope everyone is doing well! Love~The Call Family

Hello World!

Hey guys! Halle is doing well...and so is her mommy! She is so cute! She is breathing on her own...almost. A machine keeps her lungs inflated, but she takes all her own breaths! She can't wait to meet everyone! She'll be ok...she's a tough little nut!

Baby Halle came into the world around 10:40 pm on July 3, 2008. She weighs just 2 lbs 1 oz and measures 13 1/2 inches. Just little tiny! Melissa had her c-section and is on the road to recovery, and can't wait to go see her precious little daughter. It was about 2:30 am when I went to see her, and now I can't stop smiling and thinking about how beautiful she was. Under that little hat of hers is some soft little BLACK hair. Her arms were just the size of one of my fingers...I can't believe that now I have this small, precious, wonderful angel. Thank you all for your preyers and thoughts, they are much appreciated. Thank you Mom and Sarah for coming out to be with Melissa to have the baby. We will post lots and lots of pictures! Love you all!

Down Time

We want everyone to know that we are doing well...for now! Melissa's tests and everything have been coming back in good shape, so know that your prayers and thoughts are deeply felt and appreciated! We'll keep you up to date, and maybe before too long have a few pictures too!

Hospital

So Melissa and I get to spend some time in the Hospital. It's been a roller-coaster ride so far, and not much is supposed to change, but we pray for the best! We knew something wasn't right when Mel started having all the signs to preeclampsia. We thought we'd go to Wal-Mart to check her blood pressure and when it read 167/108...well ya...we just went right to the emergency room. She was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia and has been recieving treatment for that. It's hard to explain, but preeclampsia is a disease that is only curable by delivery. It will start to effect her kidneys and liver, and that is when 'baby Halle' has to come out. The doctors want to wait until the last minute though, so the baby can develope as much as possible inside the womb. Melissa is 27 and 1/2 weeks along, so really early, and we don't expect to go much further than another week or two. We appreciate all that everyone has done, for everyones preyers, and thoughts on our behalf. We want to thank Sarah and Derek and Andrew for coming out of thier way to help. Also, thanks Amy for flying down to be with Mel! We'll try to keep everyone posted and up to date! Wish us Luck!
